Nigeria is Africa’s largest economy as well the 26th largest economy in the world in terms of nominal GDP, and the 24th largest in terms of purchasing power parity. Her capital city is Abuja while Lagos is the commercial epicenter of the country.

Nigeria has more than 250 ethnic groups with varying languages and customs, creating a country of rich ethnic diversity. The three largest ethnic groups are the Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo. Together, these major groups account for more than 70% of the population. Other groups are the Edo, Ijaw, Fulnai Kanuri, Urhobo-Isoko, Ibibio, Ebira, Nupe, Gbagyi, Jukun, Igala, Idoma and Tiv which comprise between 25 and 30%; other minorities make up the remaining 5% of the population. Nigeria is one of two countries from Africa among 11 Global Growth Generator countries. Her manufacturing sector has become the largest on the continent since 2013 and it produces a large proportion of goods and services for the West African subcontinent.

With a population of about 206 million inhabitants as of late 2019, Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa and the seventh most populous country in the world. Lagos is her most populous city. Of this number, about 91 million are under 30 years and many of them are technology savvy, which translates to a huge demand for goods and services across various sectors.
